RADIQ Browser Bridge
In short
- The extension talks only to the RADIQ desktop app on your own computer (
127.0.0.1). - It never sends your data to Radiq's servers or any other server.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking, and we never sell your data.
What the extension is
RADIQ Browser Bridge connects Google Chrome to the RADIQ desktop app installed on your computer. It lets your RADIQ assistant read and act on the web pages you ask it to. The extension does nothing unless the RADIQ desktop app is running and you have paired the two.
What it accesses, and why
| Data | When and why |
|---|---|
| Page content | When RADIQ runs a task in a tab, such as reading a page or filling in a form, the extension runs that step in the page and returns the result to the RADIQ app. Chrome shows a "started debugging this browser" bar while this happens. |
| Clicks on web pages | When you click an element on an http or https page, the extension records that element's label, text, role, CSS selector and the page URL, so RADIQ learns how the web apps you use are laid out. It does not record keystrokes, what you type into fields, mouse movement or scrolling. |
| Cookies | When a RADIQ task needs to stay signed in to one specific website, the extension reads the cookies for that website only and gives them to the RADIQ app. It never reads cookies on its own initiative. |
| Tab URLs | Used to find the tab a task targets and to skip pages Chrome protects, such as chrome:// pages and the Chrome Web Store. |
| Pairing token | Stored in Chrome's local extension storage, together with the RADIQ app's local address, so the extension can reconnect after Chrome restarts. |
Where your data goes
Everything above is sent only to the RADIQ desktop app on your computer, over a local connection to 127.0.0.1 (port 3030 by default). The extension itself makes no requests to Radiq's servers, analytics services or any other third party.
Inside the desktop app, this data is stored locally on your computer. When you ask RADIQ to work with a page, the relevant content can be sent to the AI model provider you have set up in RADIQ, only to complete that request.
What the extension stores
Only the pairing token and the RADIQ app's local address. It does not store page content, cookies, browsing history or clicks. It passes them straight to the desktop app.
Code it runs
All of the extension's own code ships in the package you install from the Chrome Web Store. The only other code it runs is page scripts sent by the RADIQ desktop app on your computer. These run inside the target web page, never inside the extension, and are never downloaded from the internet.
What we never do
- Sell or transfer your data to third parties.
- Use your data for advertising, profiling or creditworthiness.
- Use your data for anything other than the extension's single purpose of connecting Chrome to your RADIQ app.
Our use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your control
- Disconnect at any time by closing the RADIQ desktop app.
- Uninstall the extension from
chrome://extensions. This removes its stored token immediately. - To delete data RADIQ has already stored, use the desktop app, or uninstall it to delete everything.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
